Fishing

Fishing is close to my heart and Tassie is full of it.  From the lakes and streams of the highlands to the coastal bays, inlets and rivers.  If you enjoy fishing you have come to the right place.

On the West Coast there are plenty of lakes for trout fishing.  Guides are available or you can just pick a nice sheltered spot on one of the easily accessible shores.  You don't have to go bush either.  Many a good fish has been caught near ramps, camping areas and shoreline tracks.

In Strahan, Mario Sorrentino of Strahan Marine Charters will take you to a top spot and show you the harbour as well.  In the harbour you stand a chance of getting a mixed bag, but best of all you are bound to catch something.
